DESSERTATION

 

“Code mixing and Code Switching in Hindi-English bilingual aphasics” followed by left hemisphere cerebrovascular accident submitted in part of Master’s Degree (Speech Language Pathology) University of Mysore.

 

CLINICAL EXPERIENCE:

 
  • Clinical experience in Speech Language Assessment/Therapy for people with neurogenic communication disorders, Speech disorders, Voice disorders, and auditory verbal therapy for Cochlear Implant cases, and Audiological evaluation for a period of 3 years at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, India during the UG program.
  • Clinical experience in Speech Language Assessment/Therapy, Professional Voice Care and Augmentative Alternative Communication and Pre-School for a period of 2 years during Masters program in Speech-Language Pathology at All India Institute Of Speech and Hearing, Mysore, India.
  • Clinical teaching, supervision, and administrative experience for the the Bachelor and Master students in the same field, and management of speech language therapy clinic at JSS ISH /JSS Medical College Hospital Mysore in the department of Speech Language Pathology as a Clinical Supervisor grade I/Sr. Speech Language Pathologist ,since December 2006 to till 31st May 2009.
  • As a Lecturer in Speech Language Pathology /Consultant Speech Language Pathologist at SISH, Bangalore University from Jun 2009 to 5th March 2010.
  • Visiting consultant at M. S. Rammaiha Memorial Hospital, K.C. general Hospital, Ambedkar Hospital at Bangalore during working at SISH, Bangalore University

  • Voice disorders such as Puberphonia, Dysphonia due to Vocal cord paralysis, Vocal nodule, Functional aphonia, Spasmodic Dysphonia, breathy voice, hoarse voice
  • Conversant with evaluation process of hearing and diagnosis of various hearing problems

EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES:

 
  • Participated in the ear health-screening program offered at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, between 23-27th February 2004 organized by Special Olympics Lions Clubs International.
  • An active member in Blood donation camps at AIIMS New Delhi and AIISH Mysore.
  • Volunteered for various NSS activities at AIISH, Mysore.
  • Invited by the TV channel (Act city Bangalore) in their ‘health line’ live telecast for creating awareness and giving the answer of the viewers about the speech and hearing problem.
